Maybe there are some x1 cards that others on this forum have found that work well? I have located numerous x1 graphic cards on the web but I am unsure how they will perform with Stellarium. I do have a x16 slot but I am reserving this for a USB 3 card. To add a graphics card I will necessarily need to install a x1.0 PCI card type. Other than giving up on Stellarium and using something else, have I missed anything? I really would like to use this software but not at the cost of the above priorities.
